South India’s First Double Decker Flyover To Come Up At Bangalore’s Silk Board By 2021!
Amidst controversies and protests revolving around the earlier news of a flyover, here’s another flyover news that’s bound to please many commuters. The ooru is all set to get its first double-decker flyover – the first in South India, in fact! – and it’s coming up at the infamous Silk Board, considered one of the worst traffic spots in the city. Connecting Ragigudda and Silk Board, the flyover will be completed by October 2021, as per reports.
The double deck flyover will have the metro running on the upper deck while vehicles can use the lower deck. Touted to be the first time a metro is running above a flyover in Bangalore, the structure with four lanes each on the elevated as well as the surface road will hopefully improve the traffic woes in the area. We’re eagerly waiting for the day we’ll get to cross Silk Board in 10 minutes!
