This Bengaluru Delivery Person Got A Footlong Challan For Violating Traffic Rules 53 Times!
How many times can you get away with breaking rules? Well, going by the story of this Bengaluru delivery person, you could say 53 times! When Anand, a two-wheeler rider and food delivery boy, was recently caught for jumping the signal at Koramangala Water Tank, the traffic cop handed him a foot-long challan, barely able to mask his own surprise.
Turns out, Anand had violated traffic rules 52 times previously but never paid the fines. Upon being caught for his 53rd offense, he was imposed with a total fine of Rs. 5,300 (Rs. 100 for each violation). Even as the traffic police pointed out that delivery personnel commits the most number of violations, the traffic inspector, Ravi Kumar, said that it was the first time they were seeing a person with so many violations. With the recent revision in fines, the authorities hope people will be more careful in following traffic rules. Well, we certainly wouldn’t want to end up with a foot-long challan!
