Koramangala’s New Dessert Parlour Has Mangalore-Style Gudbud And Ice-Cream Thali!
Bringing Mangalore’s popular Gudbud ice-cream and other frozen treats to the city, Koramangala has an all-new ice-cream parlour!
What’s Hot About It?
If you’re from Bengaluru or Mangalore, you’re probably already familiar with the iconic Gudbud (also spelt Gadbad) ice-cream. First whipped up in Udupi’s Hotel Diana and later popularised by Ideal Ice-creams, Gudbud is basically an ice-cream sundae which has three different flavours blended in with nuts, fruits and jelly and served in a tall glass. Well, if that’s got you drooling, don’t worry about going all the way to Mangalore to try the dessert. Promising you a taste of true Mangalore-style ice-cream, Koramangala has a new dessert spot and it’s called Gudbud!
Done up in pastel shades, the place has plenty of seating and a pleasant ambience to sort you out. Once you’ve picked your spot, order up their signature Gudbudwithout a second thought. Sticking to the original version, this one has scoops of Kesar, strawberry and vanilla ice-creams, all separated by layers of jelly bits and nuts. Yum! It even tastes like the Mangalore version, we hear. Looking for more? While their Tiramisu sundae also seems to be a hit with the crowd, we suggest you opt for the more offbeat options like their ice-cream pizza slices – Chocolate Slice and Caramel Slice – or the Marzi Paan, a unique paan-flavoured ice-cream. We also spotted an Ice Cream Thali with nine different ice-creams on the menu. Go with your gang for this one!
